Netizens criticize Eleazar’s confrontation video as “unnecessary” and “unprofessional” for a PNP chief

In the video which was released on Tuesday, Eleazar confronted Police Master Sergeant Hensie Zinampan who shot a 52-year-old woman in Quezon City while he was off-duty. Some users called Eleazar's actions unprofessional while other users poked fun at it and quipped it is a mere ruse or fake drama for publicity.

In section 2 of the policy’s declaration, it is stated that “They shall serve with utmost responsibility, integrity, morality, loyalty and efficiency with due respect to human rights and dignity as hallmark of a democratic society.” Police officers are required under the police code of conduct to respect the rights of all Filipinos. Meanwhile, according to the Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees, public servants, including police officers and military personnel, must conduct their jobs with professionalism, justice, and sincerity. While Duterte and a few senators were able to stand by Eleazar, the Commission on Human Rights recommended that other police officers should not respond in the same way to apprehended detainees.

While Police Officer 1 William Cristobal was explaining to Chinese Jiale Zhang why she was not allowed to enter the MRT Boni Station by the women security guard, she flung a cup of local popular food taho at him. Eleazar says "After the filing of a criminal case against Zhang, we will recommend to the Bureau of Immigration that she be considered and declared as an undesirable alien which will eventually be the basis for her deportation,”
