Previous Stance AGREE: Wala naman akong inaatrasan na kahit na ano eh. I have debated for the vice presidential [elections]. Nagdebate ako...Itong mga interview natin tinatanggap ko. Wala naman akong iniiwasan eh. Basta’t talaga ang ninanais ko lang ay pag-usapan natin ang issues of the day. I think that’s more important to people than any other thing.

Obvious na ‘yun sa lahat ng eleksyon na binibigyan ng pagkakataon ang ating mga kandidato na makausap ang buong mamamayan using pinakamalawak na network para makilatis ng ating mga mamamayan ‘yung plataporma, hindi lang ‘yung gandang lalaki, hindi lang ‘yung personal na karakter, pero ano ‘yung plano

Kayo po ngayon ang HR Department, kami po ay aplikante sa trabaho. Gusto mo naman bang mag-hire ng isang empleyado na hindi mo nakausap, hindi mo nakita? You deserve to know what’s in our minds. What matters is marinig niyo mismo sa bibig namin ang tunay na layunin namin para mapataas ang pamumuhay ng isang tao.

Ito ‘yung pagkakataon ng taong bayan para suriin ‘yung aming demeanor, makita ‘yung aming character, pwedeng matanong kami tungkol sa aming track record.

I agree with Bongbong. I also prefer one-on-one interviews, but should there be debates, there are polite ways of handling that. And I will try my best to engage the polite kind of debate,

That’s where we can see their platforms, their experience, these will come out (in debates). So, it’s extremely important that everyone join – vice presidential, senatorial and presidential candidates – so we can show what our plans really are for the country

Very, very important talaga ‘yung debate para marinig natin kung saan talaga nanggagaling ‘yung tao. Mahalaga po talaga na magkaharap tayo para mailatag, makita, at madinig natin kung ano talaga ‘yung nasa puso at mga plano.

This is not a debate. It may be, well, a forum. But this is not a classic debate that we expect. Kahit sa ganoon pa man, nagpapasalamat ako sa CNN

Disagree according to Spokesperson Vic Rodriguez: I confirm our non-participation in the Comelec-sanctioned debate...We shall continue with our preferred mode of direct communication with the people and engage them in a more personal face to face interaction that discusses real issues that affect them today, tomorrow and in the days to come as this election is all about our collective future.
