Ganyan ang takbo ng politika eh. We talk a lot about the anti-dynasty but we haven't really decided what to do about it. The one thing that we have in the Constitution are the term limits but we have to be candid and frank with each other that it hasn't really worked...you cannot avoid families being a a part of the political scene over several generations because it becomes the family business.

Alam mo, the term dynasty simply means that everything is inherited, 'di ba? And if a leader does not perform, a civil society can kick a sitting official out if they do not do their jobs. Kaya ang sinasabi ko, ang pinakasusi sa ating liberal democracy is to make sure that the civil society joins.

Previous Stance DISAGREE: Totoo nga 'yung nabanggit na tayo dito sa Pilipinas ay meron tayo sa ating pamumulitika na mayroon tayong inter-generational na nangayayari, may mga political families talaga. Ngunit may mandato tayo sa Konstitusyon na tayo ay dapat magpasa ng isang anti-dynasty bill...nauna po ako sa mga nagsulat ng anti-political dynasty provision sa kahit na anong batas dito sa Pilipinas.

Hindi ako naniniwala na ang posisyon sa gobyerno minamana in a democratic government. Ang demokrasya, ang taongbayan ang pumipili; hindi ipinipilit 'yung mga kalahi niya pagkatapos na niya...I am not gonna vote for that as a voter and I disagree as a citizen of this country,

How long have we, Filipino waited for them (the Sitting past Governments) to come to redress the anguished and cried by mostly afflicted Filipinos by this Political Insanity played by the Dynasty of Oligarchs and their culprits opportunist capitalist for so long. Nevertheless, we Filipino will not have to get our hands freely on the way to our own people totally freed not unless we'll join together with the courage of unity to fight back against their own game played plan

Buwagin ang mga political dynasty at isulong ang direktang partisipasyon ng masa sa paggugubyerno. Wakasan ang pagsasamantala sa desperadong masa.

Senators Franklin Drilon and Panfilo "Ping" Lacson filed Senate Bills No. 11 and 30, which are both titled "An Act Prohibiting the Establishment of Political Dynasties."

But our policy is that while I am in government, no one is allowed to run in our family. Because they were all born when their father was mayor already…it is not impossible. But I always tell them, if you will join (politics), number one: I should no longer be in politics. Number two, you should not inherit it. You have to go there and work for it.
