Togonon gets suspended or refusing to release three people from police custody notwithstanding the dismissal of the allegations against them

Togonon was suspended by Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II for failing to follow Department Circular No. 4, which allows a respondent in cases involving violations of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act to walk out of detention even if the case is pending for automatic review before the Department of Justice (DOJ).
