Olivarez gets flak from public for motorcycle helmet bill

Olivarez submitted HB 5136 where he proposes that in order for motorcycle drivers to acquire their driver's license, they must first register their helmets. He explained of Facebook that said bill was to avoid cases of crimes committed by the riding in tandem modus operandi. He also says that the bill was submitted in 2019 but only got discussed recently. It has also been deferred says Olivarez.

Olivarez brothers' names used in a pyramid scam

A 25-year-old female used the Congressman's and the Mayor's names to be able to establish a pyramid scam. She was able to scam people for investments amounting to 500 million but she was eventually nabbed.
