Though since fact-checked as false, presidential candidate Jose Montemayor Jr. doubled down today in his assertion during the CNN Philippines Presidential Debate that Bill Gates donated "$15 million" to Manila mayor Francisco "Isko Moreno" Domagoso. This time, Montemayor hinted at an anomaly regarding the amount involving toilets, a claim that was quickly flushed down yet again.

Montemayor defends campaign rally amid possible health protocol violations

Presidential candidate Jose Montemayor, a doctor and lawyer, believes his campaign rally Tuesday did not violate health protocols, despite the venue being packed with people not wearing face masks. Under Comelec Resolution No. 10732, candidates and participants must observe at all times minimum public health standards during election campaign activities. These include wearing face masks, maintaining a physical distance of one meter or more and ensuring adequate air circulation and ventilation.
