Doktora Minguita Padilla Her reputation in the medical field is untarnished. She is not afraid to accept challenges and innovate. She has excellent leadership skills and is able to marry clinical medicine and public health. But most importantly, her heart is biased for the poor. The Philippine College of Surgeons endorses Dr. Dominga Cecilia "Minguita" Pdailla, MD, FPAO, Ophthalmologist, as a candidate od the Senate in the National Elections on May 6, 2022.Dr. Padilla is the founder and President of the Eye Bank Foundation of the Philippines, Inc., the only national eye bank in the country. She has worked in Philhealth as head of the Executive Staff; served as adviser to the the Department of Health and was also a Spokesperson for the Philippine Medical Assocition in the past. She is also a Past President of the Philippine Academy of Ophthalmology. Dr. Padilla has listed the following as her platform: proper implementation of the Universal Health Care Act and amend its questionable provisions; reform the PhilHealth; advocate against corruption in governement; resolve the supply chain management in the Department of Health, fight gainst fake news, protect the mental health of our youth through digital education, and protect and defend the rights and welfare of our healthcare workers.
