David filed a petition to unseat Senator Grace Poe for not being a natural-born Filipino

Rizalito David filed a quo warranto petition against Poe before the Senate Electoral Tribunal stating that the 1987 Constitution defines a natural-born citizen as those who are citizens of the Philippines from birth without having to perform any act to acquire or perfect their Philippine citizenship.

The Comelec Second Division, in a resolution, said that David misrepresented himself. Kapatiran Party President Norman Cabrera informed Comelec that the party is not fielding any candidates for the 2016 elections.

Ang Kapatiran Rizalito David was expelled for opposing party policy

In a letter to the poll agency's law department, Kapatiran Chair, Edilberto Cuenca said that David was expelled for violating the party's constitution and membership clauses, disobeying Kapatiran leaders, usurping their powers, and for maligning the party when he insisted on running for the 2016 polls.
