War on Drugs

As long as there is search warrant and warrant of arrest. Under the law you can do that any time of the day. As I have said, tuloy ang war on drugs. Basta ako, tuloy-tuloy lang yung war on drugs. But the thing is, we must go to the source. Tayo, we’ll go after the source.
March
2022
Second thing that I have to give to President Duterte, nawala ‘yung manufacturing sa Pilipinas. Dati meron nahuhuli sa posh subdivision. Nawala nga ang manufacturing, the thing I found out, bulk na ang dumarating dito. So, there must be something wrong with our borders. There must be something wrong with our ports kasi kung wala na ‘yung manufacturing, hirap na magbenta, bakit kung dumating at mahuli namin, 48 kilos, 40 kilos, 5 kilos? So, I think it’s high time for us to address our boundaries, our entries – the port or entries.
January
2022
Drugs are the enemy of the state and the society. It destroys the society. In our time it’s not really acceptable, there is no elbow room here. Yet, there are so many ways to address it based on my own experience in the streets. As you can see in Manila, we apprehend them (drug suspects), we continue to believe in the system, and send them (drug suspects) to the courts.
December
2021
We will support the war on drugs in a manner that is within the bounds of the law. Unfair naman 'yun sa enforcement unit who are putting their lives on the line confronting this ready-to-kill individual. Nilalagay nila sarili nila sa alanganin then you'll hear these type of statements...We have to give an 'A' for the effort kasi hindi 'yan biro.

Revival of Death Penalty

Siguro matanong natin sa ating sarili ito kung nasagot natin in a positive way, baka pwede nyo na pag-isipan ‘yan: ‘Ilan ang nakakulong ngayon na tunay na walang kasalanan. Assertion of Ownership on West Philippine Sea

Hindi ko naman sila kaaway. I cannot blame Xi Jinping thinking that West Philippine Sea is theirs. But in the same manner, the kind of thinking, the kind of respect must be given to us. No, it’s also ours...Yung perang ibibili ko ng kanyon, bala na ipuputok ko sa kapwa ko Pilipino, ibibili ko na lang ng barko. Mga barkong pandagat na nakatutulong pa in any given tragedy… na makabili tayo ng Navy ship, Coast Guard ship at saka mga air assets for our navy and our coast guards so that we will reinforce what Israel did."

Modesty aside, you will notice, no one in my family has a government position. You don’t even know my wife. I didn’t allow them to join the government because I was the one elected.

March 2022

I don’t know if you’re amenable with that, but I do believe (that) if we want equal opportunity, equal representation, if we wish for those things, if we wish that every body will (have) felt inclusive, felt that they belong, there will be voice for Bangsamoro, there will be somebody there that would understand their culture and history, in the same manner with the northern region.

Dapat ang constitutional change, from the bottom up, doon nanggagaling ang demand. If there’s no demand from the people. Why touch it? Why fix something that is not broken?

Basta ako, ang focus ko, kumbinsihin kitang magpabakuna, kumbinsihin kitang maproteksyunan mo sarili mo, kumbinsihin kitang maproteksyunan pamilya mo, kumbinsihin kitang maging responsableng indibidwal sa kapwa mo, sa pamayanan mo, at sa bansa mo.

Endo (Contractualization)

Definitely it will happen. If there is a need to have a law, then so be it. We will try to be sensible and explain to Congress and Senate that this thing must be attended to.

Political Turncoatism (Political Butterfly)

ICC Probe on the Philippine's Drug War

You come here and investigate, do what you have to do. Welcome kayo rito. Wala naman tayong tinatago. Our justice system continues to work, and it’s effective. Gumagana, nothing to hide. We must continue to recognize and welcome these people.

I will not prevent anything. Rule of law will be observed under my watch. If there is nothing to hide. Anyway, they are just investigating. It does not mean you are guilty or not. Why not? Decriminalizing Abortion

When there is life already, nobody should take it away kasi pinagkaloob ng Diyos 'yun. . . It may have a bad effect on society, sa katatayuan ng ina, sa katatayuan ng bata but life is life.

Yes, why not. E 'di maglabasan kaming lahat. Sabay sabay. Sabihin mo sa kanila sabay sabay. Kung sabay-sabay kami, okay lang, walang problema. I think as long as the person has a job, has access to education, better health care, nobody in his right mind will go against the government. I think that’s the way to do it, to give opportunity to our countrymen, especially in far-flung areas, because they are the ones who are easy to convince.

Support for BARMM's normalization process

Have you heard the commentaries I made earlier? What’s good here is all I have to do is to copy. I will just implement it, right? In effect, there’s a meeting of minds, and technically and specifically, there’s already an agreement. So, all I have to do for the people to get the benefits of the law is to be a leader or implementor — and that’s my commitment.
