Sara Duterte identifying herself as LGBT a 'trapo' behavior —group
An LGBTQIA+ organization on Friday slammed vice presidential aspirant and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte for saying she is also a member of the LGBT community.
In a statement, Bahaghari said being a part of the LGBTQIA+ community is not a "costume" one could wear only during the election period.
"It is a lifelong struggle in a world steeped with deep hatred and exclusion of our community," said Rey Valmores-Salinas, Bahaghari chairperson.
"Huwag po tayong magpapabudol [Let us not be fooled]. This is nothing more than a 'trapo' behavior by a politician seeking votes and sympathy from our community."

Sara mum on Walden's tirades, says she has personal reasons for not attending debates
Vice presidential candidate and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte remains mum on the criticisms thrown against her for not attending debates related to Eleksyon 2022.

At a press conference in Davao City on Monday, Duterte was asked for her comment on the tirades of another vice presidential candidate Walden Bello against her and running mate, Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr.
During the CNN Vice Presidential debate, Bello called Duterte a coward for not attending the debate. Bello also said Marcos and Duterte's practice of skipping the debates was an "undemocratic gesture."
"Yes, my team and I are currently discussing that item so I will not comment on that as of yet," Duterte said.
The Davao mayor said she has her own reason for skipping the debate but she refused to disclose it.

Davao bans campaign caravans, motorcades
All political caravans and motorcades are prohibited in this city until the eve of election day.
Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio issued an executive order on Monday providing the guidelines in securing permits for campaign activities in the city.
